HomeMy WebLinkAboutlegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.ci.miami.fl.us File Number: 03-0186 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, APPROVING THE ACQUISITION OF SOFTWARE LICENSES AND ANNUAL SOFTWARE SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR THE NX5800 CLEARPATH AND CLU6000 TAPE BACKUP SYSTEMS, FROM UNYSIS CORPORATION, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, UTILIZING EXISTING STATE OF FLORIDA CONTRACT NO. 252-000-03-1, EFFECTIVE THROUGH JULY 31, 2005, SUBJECT TO ANY EXTENSIONS OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY THE STATE OF FLORIDA, FOR AN INITIAL ONE-YEAR PERIOD, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW THE LICENSES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS FOR TWO ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $171,851 FOR THE FIRST YEAR, AND IN AN ANNUAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $106,576, FOR EACH EXTENSION PERIOD; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM GENERAL FUND ACCOUNT CODE NO. 001000.460101.6.670, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.The acquisition of software licenses and annual software subscriptions for the NX5800 Clearpath and CLU6000 Tape Backup Systems, from Unisys Corporation, for the Department of Information Technology is approved, utilizing existing State of Florida Contract No. 252-000-03-1, effective through July 31, 2005, subject to any extensions or replacement contracts by the State of Florida, for an initial one-year period, with the option to renew the licenses and subscriptions for two additional one-year periods, in an annual amount not to exceed $171,851, for the first year, and in an annual amount not to exceed $106,576, for each extension period, with funds allocated from General Fund Account Code No. 001000.460101.6.670, subject to budgetary approval.
