3. AFFORDABLE HOUSING
SUPPORT giving preference toresidents locally situated where government funds are being used for an
affordable housing project. (City Resolution)
4. SOUTH FLORIDA WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT
SUPPORT issuance of permit for operation of underground freshwater pumps.
S. GUN RANGES UuTHE CITY
SUPPORT changes to Florida Statutes 79033 and 823.16 to prohibit the discharge of a firearm outdoors
onany property used primarily ayodwelling,
6. SHADE MSESSIONS
SUPPORT legislation that would amend FS 286.11 regarding shade meetings for anticipated litigation.
Currently, executive sessions are only held when there is pending litigation. The City supports amending
the section to state that executive sessions can also be held when litigation is anticipated.
7. ASSISTED LIVING FACILITIES - SECURITY AND DISTANCE
SUPPORT changes tothe Florida Statute governing Assisted Living Facilities (ALFs)and Community
Residential Homes to provide for greater security for residents and the community and to provide for
notice to the municipality when on ALF/Community Residential Home accepts criminal defendants.

SUPPORT legislation that would clarify the DDA's authority under Florida Statute 166,0497.
Q. WORKERS' COMPENSATION ' CHAPTER 440
SUPPORT amendments to Florida Statute sections that unfairly burden the City of Miami.
10, PUBLIC RECORDS SUITSAEG|SLATNEREFORM
SUPPORT legislation that would amend/clarify Chapter 119 to prevent abuse of the public records statute.
