cleanup and restoration within the kids
playground area are in its final stages. As
of this week (June 23-27), contractors are
currently installing new artificial turf.
With minor landscaping and final
inspection, the kids playground area is on
pace to re -open by mid -July.

Park Closed - • On 1/30/14, the City
submitted a Solid Waste Delineation
Report and a Sampling Plan on 4/1/14.
The Sampling Plan was approved by DERM
on 4/17/14. On 4/23 and 4/24 assessment
activities were conducted. The complete
Site Assessment Report (SAR) is currently
being finalized to be submitted on 7/1/14.
The estimated submittal of a Corrective
Action Plan (CAP) is 8/15/14. Once the
CAP is approved byDERM (estimated
pp
within 15 days of submittal), the City will
obtain permits for construction activity.
The anticipated duration of remediation
and park restoration is from 10/1 through
12/31/14 (contingent upon funding
availability at the point CAP is approved).

DERM reviews the report, the City will
