The purpose of this MOU is
to establish an agreement
between the Parties for the
CITY's purchase of not less
than fifteen (15) shelter beds
("available shelter") from the
TRUST for the use of
"homeless persons" who are
residents of the City of
Miami, and who are referred
to such "available shelter" by
CITY outreach or CITY police
officers
Pursuant to Resolution R-13-
0299, the CITY is funding the
purchase and reservation of
shelter beds from the TRUST
for a period of one (1) year
and four (4) months, at an
amount not to exceed
$240,297.75, subject to: (a)
said reserved shelter beds
being exclusively designated
for CITY homeless
individuals, and for beds at
an available shelter at no
cost to the homeless person
within the territorial
boundaries of the City of
Miami or within one mile
thereof, that treats homeless
person with dignity and
respect, imposes no
religious requirements, and
does not
impose involuntary
