HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 12-00996 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TRANSFER FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $180,000, FROM ONE BUDGETARY LINE ITEM (512000 PERSONNEL) TO ANOTHER BUDGETARY LINE ITEM (531000 PROFESSIONAL SERVICES) WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, GENERAL FUND, AS STATED HEREIN. WHEREAS, the Department of Finance ("Department") would like to procure professional services that will correct underlying causes related to the delay in the this year's completion and presentation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report; and WHEREAS, these services will be used to implement best practices, install new processes, update existing procedures, train personnel, and provide other accounting and reporting expertise to the Department; WHEREAS, the City Commission, after careful consideration of this matter, deems it advisable and in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its citizens to approve the budgetary line item transfer. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to transfer funds in the amount of $180,000, from one budgetary line item (512000 Personnel) to another budgetary line item (531000 Professional Services), within the Department of Finance, General Fund. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} APPROVED AS TO FORM AND CORRECTNESS: JULIE O. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
