Background Information: Temporary banners are limited to display for a maximum of thirty (30) days once a year. The City Commission, upon affirmative vote, may extend these times limitations. The Miami Herald proposes to display public service announcements (PSA) and wishes to extend the time limitation. The Miami Herald has agreed to display a PSA concerning bicycle and pedestrian safety for a minimum of sixty (60). Each thirty (30) day permit has a fee based on square footage which ranges from $150.00 to $800.00. Based on previous temporary banners at the location, it is anticipated that the fee will be $600.00 per permit. Budget Impact Analysis YES Is this item related to revenue?
