Subject: Provide update on the:establishment of the Green Corridor Property Assessment Clean Energy
(PACE) District.
Purpose of Item:
To update the Miami City Commission on the establishment of the Green Corridor Property
Assessment Clean Energy (PACE) District.
Background Information:
On the January 12, 2012, the Miami City Commission discussed the establishment of the Green
Corridor Property Assessment Clean Energy (PACE) District in the:City of Miami by entering into an
Interlocal Agreement with the Town of Cutler Bay,. The PACE program provides for the up -front
financing for qualifying improvements as provided in Section 163.08 of the Florida Statutes. The
Commission also requested that Ygrene Energy LLC, the third party administrator for the PACE
program, :t+provide responses to questions and concerns raised'by.the Commission regarding said
program. The Administration was directed to hold a public workshop on this matter and to provide a
summary of pros and cons on the Green Corridor PACE District.
