A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $48,000, CONSISTING OF
A GRANT AWARD FROM THE MIAMI-DADE METROPOLITAN PLANNING
ORGANIZATION, FOR THE PREPARATION OF A BAYWALK ACTION PLAN:
IMPLEMENTATION, RESTORATION AND TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS STUDY;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR SAID PURPOSE;
ALLOCATING THE CITY OF MIAMI'S REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $12,000, FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT
NO. B-30645D.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") applied for and has been awarded a grant in the amount of
$48,000 from the Miami -Dade Metropolitan Planning Organization ("MPO") under the Fiscal Year
2011-2012 Municipal Grant Program to assist in the preparation of a Baywalk Action Plan:
Implementation, Restoration and Technical Solutions Study ("Study"); and
WHEREAS, the grant requires a minimum City match of 20% or $12,000, which has been
identified from Capital Improvement Project No. B-30645D; and
WHEREAS, the Study will provide a plan for the implementation of a continuous and publicly
accessible baywalk along Alice Wainright Park and Albert Pallot Park, Miami, Florida, which will
include feasibility and constructability analysis, alternative alignment options and jurisdictional
responsibilities, and will identify and prioritize short and long term improvements; and
WHEREAS, grant funds are to be appropriated by separate resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Funds in an amount not to exceed $48,000, consisting of a grant award from the MPO,
for the preparation of the Study, are accepted.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute an Interlocal Agreement, in substantially
the attached form, for said purpose.
Section 4. The City's required matching funds, in an amount not to exceed $12,000, are allocated
from Capital Improvements Project No. B-30645D.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of

the Mayor. {2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
