A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE BIDS
RECEIVED SEPTEMBER 1, 2011, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BID NO.
274253, FROM DRC EMERGENCY SERVICES, LLC, BYRD BROTHERS
EMERGENCY SERVICES, LLC, AND CROWDER-GULF JOINT VENTURE, INC.,
THE THREE (3) LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDERS, FOR
EMERGENCY DEBRIS REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL SERVICES, ON AN
AS -NEEDED CONTRACTUAL BASIS, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF SOLID
WASTE, FOR AN INITIAL CONTRACT PERIOD OF TVVO (2) YEARS, WITH THE
OPTION TO RENEW FOR THREE (3) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS, SUBJECT TO
THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF
NEED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The bids received September 1, 2011, pursuant to Invitation for Bid No. 274253, from
DRC Emergency Services, LLC, Byrd Brothers Emergency Services, LLC, and Crowder -Gulf Joint
Venture, Inc., the three (3) lowest responsive and responsible bidders, for emergency debris removal
and disposal services, on an as -needed contractual basis, for the Department of Solid Waste, for an
initial contract period of two (2) years, with the option to renew for three (3) additional one-year
periods, are accepted, with funds allocated from the various sources of funds, subject to the
availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days-from.the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
