Purpose of Item:
A Resolution authorizing a Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement with the Florida Department of
Transportation ("FDOT") for beautification improvements along SR 933/NW 12th Avenue from NW
14th Street to north of NW 15th Street.
Background Information:
In 2008, the City Commission authorized a Joint Participation Agreement with the FDOT for the
implementation of a streetscape project along SR 933/NW 12th Avenue in the Miami Health District.
The City has drafted design plans for beautification improvements on NW 12th Avenue from NW 14th
Street to north of NW 15tn Street. This agreement is only for the maintenance and testing of the
stamped asphalt surface which will be the responsibility of the Public Works Department after the five
(5) year warranty period.
