A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT THE CONVEYANCE OF THE
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 6020 NORTHWEST 15TH AVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA,
FROM MIAMI DREAM HOMES INVESTMENT GROUP, INC., LEGALLY
DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; FURTHER
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY
DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No, 05-0357, adopted May 26, 2005, the City Commission
approved the conveyance, with title reverter conditions, of eleven (11) parcels of City of Miami ("City")
owned land directly to developers, for the construction of affordable housing for eligible Low- and
Moderate -Income persons; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution No. 05-0357, Resolution No. 06-0329, adopted May 25,
2006,and Resolution No. 07-0133, adopted March 8, 2007, six (6) of the eleven (11) parcels of
City -owned land, which includes 6020 Northwest 15th Avenue, Miami, Florida (hereinafter the
"property"), were conveyed to Miami Dream Homes Investment group, Inc. ("Miami Dream Homes"),
by Quit -Claim Deed dated September 27, 2005, as modified July 5, 2006, and March 8, 2007, by
Corrective Quit -Claim Deeds between the City and Miami Dream Homes for the construction of
affordable single family homes; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution Nos. 08-0250, 09-0174 and 10-0286, adopted May 8, 2008,
April 2, 2009 and July 8, 2010 respectively, numerous extensions of time to complete the project were
granted to Miami Dream Homes to complete construction of affordable single family homes on all six
(6) parcels and to date, Miami Dream Homes has only been able to build affordable single family
homes on five (5) of the six (6) parcels, due to the difficulty of obtaining financing for the construction
of said homes; and
WHEREAS, on October 31, 2011, Miami Dream Homes submitted a request to the City
Commission to consider the acceptance of the Property; and
WHEREAS, the acceptance of the Property will be under the condition that the Property is free and
clear of any liens and encumbrances; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the acceptance of the conveyance of the
Property; legally described in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, from Miami Dream Homes to the
City;
NOW,.THEREFORE,BEIT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
referenced and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The acceptance of the conveyance of the Property, legally described in Exhibit "A",
attached and incorporated, from Miarni Dream Homes to the City, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1 } to execute the necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purposes.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
