HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-11-0485City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-11-0485 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 11-01096 Final Action Date: 12/8/2011 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS PROGRAM FUNDS, IN THE PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $4,409,501, FOR HOUSING PROGRAMS, FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2012-2013, IN THE CATEGORIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR SAID PURPOSES. WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") has yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for Program Year 2012, as such, the amount of Home Investment Partnership Program ("HOME") funds being recommended is a projection; and WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the allocation of HOME funds, in the projected amount of $4,409,501, for Program Year 2012-2013, in the categories specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for the development of decent and affordable housing to Low Income households; and WHEREAS, the funding allocation to such activities as specified in Attachment "A", may need to be adjusted once HUD confirms the final HOME formula allocation for Program Year 2012-2013; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The allocation of HOME funds, in the projected amount of $4,409,501, for housing programs for Program Year 2012-2013, in the categories specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for the provision of affordable housing, is authorized. Section 3. These allocations will be adjusted in direct proportion to the actual allocation of HOME funds provided by HUD for the 2012-2013 Program Year. Section 4. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents for said purposes Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 11-01096 (Version: 1) Printed On: 10/23/2017 File Number: 11-01096 Enactment Number: R-11-0485 Footnotes: {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
