A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT REVISED MANUFACTURED HOME DOWN PAYMENT
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM POLICIES, AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED, AND THE REVISED POLICIES FOR DEVELOPERS IN
CITY COMMISSION DISTRICT 1, AS DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "B", ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE(S).
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0285, adopted July 8, 2010, the Miami City
Commission approved the City of Miami's ("City's") Manufactured Home Down Payment Assistance
("MHDA") Program Policies and authorized the transfer of the amount of $200,000 from the District 1
Home Investment Partnership reserve account for the implementation of said program; and
WHEREAS, the City's Department of Community Development is revising the MHDA Program
Policies to increase the amount of assistance to a maximum amount of $40,000 and increase the
affordability period to ten (10) years; and
WHEREAS, the City will provide assistance to developers for the replacement of manufactured
homes within the City to be owned and occupied by low-income residents whose manufactured
homes have been found to be in violation of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration requests the approval of the revised MHDA Program Policies,
as described in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated, and the revised policies for developers in City
Commission District 1, as described in Exhibit "B", attached and incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City's Department of Community Development revised MHDA Program Policies, as
described in Exhibit "A", and the revised policies for developers in City Commission District 1, as
described in Exhibit "B", attached and incorporated, are approved.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose(s).
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
