Subject: City of Miami -- Florida League of Cities' Board Seat
Lynn, Commissioner Richard Dunn was representing the City of Miami on the Board of Directors of the
Florida League of Cities. You may remember that Miami has an automatic seat on our Board of
Directors.
Please see the attached letter that we will mail to the Mayor today.
Would you please help me get a new representative from your city?

Honorable Tomas Regalado
Mayor, City of Miami
Post Office Box 330708
Miami, FL 33233-0708
Dear Mayor Regalado:
As you know, the Florida League of Cities is governed by a Board of Directors made up of
elected officials, from cities across Florida, serving in a district seat, a seat for one of the ten most
populous cities, as a past president or as an officer of the League. The City of Miami is given a seat on
the Florida League of Cities as one of the ten most populous Florida cities. Your city's seat is now
vacant.
The FLC Board of Directors fill vacancies as they arise and we would appreciate receiving
correspondence from the City of Miami advising who you would recommend from your city to fill this
vacancy.
The Board will meet September 23-24, 2011 and can consider the vacancy at that time.
Therefore, we would appreciate receiving this correspondence on or before September 9, 2011. For
your information, the FLC Board meets four (4) times per year and expenses for meetings that are not
held in conjunction with FLC membership meetings are reimbursable to the Board member (or his/her
city). We've attached a list of upcoming meetings.
We look forward to hearing from you. If we can be of service, please call me at 1-800-342-
8112.

It is with deepest regret that I tender my resignation as a board member frorn the Tourist Development Council. It
has been an honor and privilege to serve.
Unfortunately, due to current obligations it has become increasingly difficult for me to be present at meetings and
participate fully in the organization.
Thank you for allowing me to participate on the Tourist Development Council Board of Directors. It has been a
great experience
