Subject: Health Facilities Authority Board

The Health Facilities Authority Board was created to assist health facilities in the acquisition,
construction, financing and refinancing of projects in any incorporated or unincorporated area
within the geographical limits of the municipality.
Pursuant to Florida Statutes 154.207(4), members of this board shall be residents of the
City of Miami.
Three (3) appointments are needed at this time:
• Vice Chairman Frank Carollo has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by:
1. Rosie Molina, incumbent, whose term expires on September 10, 2011, has served
as a member since May 11, 1999 and would require a term waiver by a unanimous
(5/5ths) vote of the Commission.
• Commissioner Francis Suarez has one (1) nomination for a seat currently:
1. Vacant.
• Commissioner Richard Dunn II has one (1) nomination for a seat currently:t
1. Vacant.
For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By
copy of this memorandum, we are requesting the Agenda Office to place this issue on the June
09, 2011 Commission agenda.
