A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT, AND
RELATED EXHIBITS , IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM(S), WITH
LEXISNEXIS ("LEXIS"), A COMPUTER ASSISTED LEGAL RESEARCH
SERVICE, FOR THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY, FORA THREE (3)
YEAR PERIOD, IN A FIRST -YEAR AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $ 27,600; A
SECOND YEAR AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $ 28,440, AND A THIRD YEAR
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $29,280, FOR A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $85,320; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM ACCOUNT NO.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement, and related Exhibits
serving as Addendums and Riders, to the Agreement, in substantially the attached form(s), with
LexisNexis ("Lexis"), a computer assisted legal research service, more specifically for providing
the LexisNexis online legal research service, and related services and programs, for the Office of
the City Attorney, for a three (3) year period, in a first -year amount not to exceed $27,600, a
second year amount not to exceed $28,440, and a third year amount not to exceed $29,280, for a
total amount not to exceed $85,320, with funds allocated from Account No.
00001.131000.554000.0.0.
Section 2. The Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar, days
from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
