Inc. and Award to BCLS Landscaping, Inc., for Grounds Maintenance Services Citywide. IFB No. 247232. Purpose of Item: The nature of this item is to rescind the award made to McIntyre Maintenance, Inc., and to re -award of the bid to BCLS Landscaping Group, Inc., the next lowest responsive and responsible bidder for Grounds Maintenance Services Citywide for an initial contract period of two (2) years with options to renew for two (2) additional one year periods. Allocating funds from the various sources of funds of the user departments, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Background Information: On March 10, 2011, the Miami City Commission awarded Invitation for Bid No. 247232 to McIntyre Maintenance. Inc. pursuant to Resolution No. R-11-0106, for Grounds Maintenance Services Citywide, for an initial contract period of two (2) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods. McIntyre Maintenance has failed to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The Purchasing Department has found them in default of contract, pursuant to Section 1.27 and 2.31 of the IFB document. Award is therefore recommended to the next lowest responsive and responsible bidder, BCLS Landscaping Group, Inc. Allocating funds`from the various departments, General Operating Budget or other sources of funds as may become available and subject to budgetary approval at the time of need.
