QUESTIONNAIRE FOR CANDIDATES FOR NOR11IINATION
TO SERVE ON THE CITY OF MIAMI
COAIMUNJTY RELATIONS BOARD
CANDIDATE'S NAME
1. Why would you like to serve on the Community Relations Board?
I'm a big advocate for community involvement and being on this board is actually
an idea 1 explored about 4 or 5 years ago, but felt like I was still too inexperienced
to take on the task. I love my city and would love to be able to make a greater
impact by being directly involved with it through the government. I've always been
interested in serving my community and this is the perfect avenue to start.
Can you dedicate at least 10 .hours per month to seri ing on the
Community Relations Board?
Yes.
3. What special skills wouldyou bring to the Community Relations Board?
My skills are within the events and communications realm. Aside from that, I can
also serve as project manager, partnership seeker, and am very adaptable and
willing to learn new roles and tasks. I'm very much a people person and love
engaging others in conversation in order to learn more and assess opportunities or
needs.

4. What is your understanding of the role of the Community Relations
Board in the City of %Iiami?
One of the roles should be to reach out to different sectors in our population to
insure city policies do not exclude any one member of the community.
Seeking new opportunities to improve quality of life of City of Miami residents.
Do you feel that positive inter -group relations can be achieved in the City-
of Miami?
Absolutely. The City of Miami is very diverse, but I think we can all find common
grounds in important issues such as education, finding employment opportunities,
safety and municipal services. In order to foster positive inter -group relations,
constant communication would be the key to making this work.
