A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WAIVING, PURSUANT TO
SECTION 62-521(B) (4) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED, WAIVING THE TEMPORARY EVENT TWO (2) EVENT LIMITATION
PER PROPERTY FOR A FOOD TRUCK AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 350
NORTHEAST 80TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 15,
2011 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2011.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521, of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended
("City Code"), Temporary Events are limited to no more than two (2) events per year per property; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 62-521 (b) (4) of the City Code, the number of events can be
waived upon affirmative vote of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, Benjamin Nelson wishes to host a food truck at the property located at 350 Northeast
80th Street, Miami, Florida, beginning September 15, 2011 and ending December 31, 2011; and
WHEREAS, the proposed temporary use at the above location for an extended period of time
would be beneficial to the City of Miami's residents;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Pursuant to Section 62-521(b) (4), of the City Code, the temporary events amount (no
more than two [2] events per year per property), for a food truck at the property located at 350
Northeast 80th Street, Miami, Florida, beginning September 15, 2011 and ending December 31, 2011,
is hereby waived.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
