Invitation For Bid for Marine Equipment, Parts and Supplies
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:
The following changes, additions, and clarifications amend the IFB Documents of the above captioned IFB,
and shall become an integral part of the Contract Documents. The remaining provisions are now in effect
and remain unchanged. Please note the contents herein and reflect same on the documents you have on
hand.
In order to further clarify the requirements of this IFB, we are revising the following:
Q1: Line item 19---The item number listed #6802 is Dive Rescue International's part number for
Dive Rescue International 4 wire communication rope manufactured by Dive Rescue
International not OTS. Also, the bid requires us to give a unit price for one unit Is one unit
all 6 lengths of 125 feet for a total of 750 feet or is one unit one length of 125 feet?
Al: Dive Rescue International's number shown is the part required. Price as one unit length of •
125 feet, regardless of color.
Q2: Line item 20--- The item number listed #6802A is for the OTS installation of connectors on
the rope ends- HUC (hi -use) on diver end and male amp on MK7 end. Again the item bid
quantity is for one unit. Is one unit, one pair of connectors for one 125 foot length of rope
or is one unit six pair of connectors to put on the six lengths of rope as in Line 19?
A2: The Communication Rope is cut from the spool to the desired length of the agency. One unit
would be one length of 125 feet. The colors are extremely important to separate divers into
search teams 3 yellow and three blue.
ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE IFB REMAIN THE SAME.
Sincerely,
Kenneth Robertson
