A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE MIAMI
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, OF THE CITY OF MIAMI OF
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO ESTABLISH A PROPOSED MILLAGE RATE;
ADOPTING THE TENTATIVE LEVYING OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE
DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, MIAMI-DADE
COUNTY, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2011 AND ENDING
SEPTEMBER 30, 2012.
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission of Miami -Dade County, Florida, on July 28, 2011,
adopted Fiscal Year Tentative Millage Rates following a public hearing as required by Florida Statute
200.065; and
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission of the City of Miami of Miami -Dade County, Florida, held
a public hearing as required by Florida Statute 200.065; and
WHEREAS, the gross taxable value for operating purposes not exempt from taxation within the
Miami Downtown Development Authority District of the City of Miami, Miami -Dade County ("DDA"),
has been certified by the Miami -Dade County Appraiser to the DDA as $10,996,404,695; and
WHEREAS, the Miami DDA millage has been 0.5 mill since the inception of the Miami DDA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted and
incorporated is fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The DDA is authorized to establish the following proposed millage rate:
1. The Fiscal Year 2011-2012 operating millage rate is .478 mills, which is the
rolled -back rate.
2. The voted debt service millage is 0.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
