The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for Helicopter Maintenance and Repair Services,
with Rotortech Services, Inc., for an initial contract period of one (1) year with option to renew for
four (4) additional one-year periods, for the Police Department. Allocating funds from the various
sources of funds from the user department, subject to availability and budgetary approval at time of
need.
Background Information:
The Police Department has identified a need -to establish.a contract for helicopter maintenance & •
repair services. On May 11, 2011, the Purchasing Department issued Invitation for Bid No. 269276.
As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued on-line. Bids were due and
only one (1) bid was received. The Police Department is recommending award to Rotortech Services,
Inc. as the only responsive and responsible bidder, per bid specifications. The estimated annual
amount is $31,593.00.
