HomeMy WebLinkAboutNotice to the PublicPUBLIC NOTICE Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 9:00 AM City of Miami Commission Chamber eVa, Community '�..i Development ',r , �` 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 Federal regulations governing Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") and other United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (°HUD") programs require that a participating jurisdiction provide citizens with reasonable notice of, and an opportunity to comment on, any amendments to funding of HUD programs. The public is advised of the proposed amendment(s) to the funding of the City program(s) indicated below: 1. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the transfer of HOPWA Program Year 2011-2012 funds in the total amount of $21,000, from Carrfour Supportive Housing, Inc. -Del Prado Gardens Apartments by allocating the amount of $17,500, to Carrfour Supportive Housing, Inc. - Little River Bend Apartments, to provide housing assistance to low to moderate income homeless individuals, and the amount of $3,500 to the City of Miami Department of Community Development HOPWA account. 2. Discussion and proposed resolution authorizing the transfer of CDBG funds in the amount of $150,000 from the City of Miami Department of Community Development District 2 Economic Development reserve account and allocating said funds to Coconut Grove Business Improvement District for the Commercial Rehabilitation Job Creation Program. 3. Discussion and Proposed Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute Amendment Two to the contract between the City of Miami and Boys and Girls Club of Miami -Dade, Inc., authoring the transfer of CDBG funds, in the amount of $150,000 from the City of Miami Department of Community development District 2 Economic Development Reserve account and allocating said funds to Boys and Girls Club of Miami -Dade, Inc., for public facilities and improvement activities. • The adoption of this Ordinance/Resolution, by the City Commission, authorizes the City Manager to draft/amend the appropriate City of Miami annual Action Plan. t This item(s) will be available for public comment and review for a period of no less than 30 days. The review and comment period begins Tuesday, May 24, 2011, and ends Wednesday, June 22, 2011. The proposed amendment(s) will be presented to City Commission for approval on Thursday, June 23, 2011 (public hearing). .f Draft copies will be available at the City of Miami Department of Community Development office located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 2nd floor, Miami, Florida, 33130. Comments to the amendments must be submitted in writing to: 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 2nd floor, Miami, Florida, 33130: Attn: Natasha Border, and must be received no later than June 22, 2011. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend this Public Hearing.
