Subject: Resolution authorizing the acceptance of an additional $16,000 towards the new outdoor
exercise equipment at Margaret Pace Park increasing the total grant amount received from the Omni
Redevelopment District CRA from $50,000 to $66,000.
Purpose of Item:
A Resolution of the Miami City Commission authorizing the acceptance of an additional $16,000 for
the purchase and installation of a new rubber surface foundation for the new outdoor exercise
equipment at Margaret Pace Park, located at 1775 North Bayshore Drive, Miami, F1, increasing the
total grant amount received from the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment
Agency (CRA), from $50,000, as previously approved through Resolution 10-0366 to $66,000;
further authorizing the acceptance of said grant; and authorizing the City Manager to execute all
documents necessary for said purpose.
Background Information:
The Omni Redevelopment District (CRA) previously provided a grant to the City, in the amount of
$50,000 for the purchase and installation of outdoor exercise equipment at Margaret Pace Park. After
said award to the City, the CRA requested the additional improvement of a new rubber surface for
said exercise equipment, which costs an additional $16,000 to provide. Accordingly, this Resolution
authorizes and also accepts the additional $16,000 from the CRA for the provision of the new rubber
surface; further authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents for this purpose.
