HomeMy WebLinkAboutPZAB ResoMiami Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board File ID 11-00022zt Resolution: PZAB-R-11-006 January 19, 2011 Item PZAB.8 Ms. Maria Beatriz Gutierrez offered the following resolution and moved its adoption: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI PLANNING, ZONING AND APPEALS BOARD RECOMMENDING APPROVAL WITH MODIFICATIONS TO THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 13114, THE MIAMI 21 CODE, THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, SPECIFICALLY BY AMENDING ARTICLE 1. "DEFINITIONS," ARTICLE 3. "GENERAL TO ZONES," AND ARTICLE 7. "PROCEDURES AND NONCONFORMITIES" TO FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING BY PROVIDING INCENTIVES INCLUDING MODIFICATIONS OF ARCHITECTURAL AND DESIGN STANDARDS AND PARKING REDUCTIONS IN CERTAIN TRANSECT ZONES; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. THIS AMENDMENT WAS RECOMMENDED APROVAL SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING MODIFICATIONS AS DECRIBED IN "EXHIBIT 1" (HEREBY ATTACHED). Under the definition of TOD in Article 1, the proposed change not be made. Radius to remain at mile as it currently stands in the Code. 2. Section 3.13.1: Insert the word "LEED" in front of "sustainability requirements promulgated by the Florida Housing Finance Corporation..." 3. Section 3.15.1 (b): Change the time period to 30 years instead of 15 years. 4. Section 3.15.2: The word "abut" to be deleted and replaced with the words "within 500 feet". 5. Section 3.15.2: The "Warrant" process to be replaced with the "Exception" process. 6. Section 7.1.1.5 (i): The proposed change not be approved. 7. Section 7.1.2.8: To accept the proposed language (PZAB substitution) from staff regarding the Planning Department making recommendations as to which transect zone will yield the most coherent pattern.
