Purpose of Item: The administration recommends that the Miami City Commission adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Grant of Easement, in substantially the attached form, to Florida Power and Light Company, a for -profit Florida Corporation of a perpetual, non-exclusive easement of approximately four hundred fifty (450) square feet of City -owned property located at 1717 NW 5th Avenue, Miami, Florida, as more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, for the construction, operation and maintenance of electric utility facilities, with the right to reconstruct, improve, add to, change and remove any of the facilities within said easement. Background Information: Florida Power & Light Company has requested the grant of easement of approximately four hundred fifty (450) square feet perpetual, non-exclusive easement of City -owned property located at 1717 NW 5th Avenue, Miami, Florida, (also known as Williams Park). The easement will be used to construct, operate and maintain electric utility facilities (including wires, poles, guys, cables, conduits and appurtenant equipment) to be installed from time to time to service exclusively City -owned property, with the right to reconstruct, improve, add to, change and remove any of the facilities within the easement. The easement is necessary in order to bring electrical service to the building on City -owned property. Page 2 of 2
