IGWE AS THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR GENERAL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 07-0161, ADOPTED MARCH 8, 2007, FOR A PERIOD OF SIXTY (60) DAYS, AS STATED HEREIN. WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 03-342, adopted April 10, 2003, the City Commission appointed Victor I. Igwe to the position of Independent Auditor General of the City of Miami, Florida, for a four-year period, commencing May 1, 2003; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 07-0161, adopted March 8, 2007, the City Commission ratified, approved and confirmed his salary compensation; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 07-0426, adopted July 26, 2007, the City Commission appointed Victor I. Igwe to the position of Independent Auditor General of the City of Miami, Florida, for a four-year period, commencing May 1, 2007; and WHEREAS, Victor I. Igwe's term expires on May 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, the City Commission will consider the appointment of a certified public accountant to serve as the Independent Auditor General for the term provided under Charter Section 48, after sixty (60) days from the adoption of this Resolution; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The continuation of the salary and benefits under Resolution No. 07-0161, adopted March 8, 2007, to be received by Independent Auditor General Victor I. Igwe, is authorized for a period of sixty (60) days. Section 3. The Independent Auditor General Victor I. Igwe shall not issue any audits for a period of sixty (60) days until his contractual negotiations are finalized. Section 4.
