Dear Mr. Genuardi:
After 25 years of serving our community through Alcoholics Anonymous, The Little River
Club, Inc., a not -for -profit organization, has an opportunity to realize its dream of moving
into spacious, comfortable and permanent quarters through the purchase of its own
building.
Having operated for the past five years at 754 NE 79th Street, the building directly across
the street from our current clubrooms became available (753-767 NE 79th Street).
We would utilize one-half of the available space of this building, approximately 3,000
square feet for our clubrooms. The building also has a large asphalt parking area in the
rear which could easily accommodate the average of 50 members who attend our
meetings on a regular basis.
L---
The sale, and our purchase of this site, is contingent on the assurance that existing
zoning permits would allow us to continue to work with and for the men and women of I
Alcoholics Anonymous by uninterrupted operation of our facility.
We would greatly appreciate a prompt evaluation of our planned move and your
acknowledged approval, under existing zoning laws, for us to conclude negotiations on
the sale of the building, so that AA can continue to provide its valuable service on
Northeast 79th Street.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Bob Hardison

LITTLE RIVER AA CLUB
Dear Mr. Hardison:.
CESAR H. ODIO
City Manager
This is in reply to your letter dated December 26, 1989 wherein
you request whether the existing AA, Little River Club, Inc. may
be moved from its present quarters at 754 N.E. 79 Street to 753-
767 N.E. 79 Street.
Both locations are zoned the same CR-3/7, Commercial —Residential
(General) according to the present City of Miami Zoning Ordinance
9500, as amended. This zoning designation permits private clubs,
not for profit, provided there is no medical care and/or
overnight lodging with 24 hours supervision.
Therefore, the club for meetings may be located on the proposed
site.
If you require any further information please feel free to
contact me again.
