Representative Brandes has included a provision in House Bill 1363, specifically, Section 27, lines 1577- 1602 that will create Section 479.075, sign permit fee limitations. In the event this provision is passed, the City of Miami will face a shortfall in excess of approxirnately two million dollars ($2,000,000) representing fees associated with the erection of billboards and murals. The City of Miami severely and strenuously objects to and opposes the language contained in House Bill 1363 Section 27, lines 1577-1602 that will create section 479.075, sign permit fee limitations. The City of Miami, via the unanimous adoption of Resolution No.11-0169, adopted April 28, 2011, attached hereto, vehemently urges you oppose the language contained therein.
