Director Chief ///i!1.� City Manager, Page 1 of 1 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information: Pursuant to Resolution No. 10-0260 adopted June 21, 2010, the Miami City Commission approved the allocation of 36th Program Year CDBG funds for Fiscal Year 2010-2011, in the amount of $3,868,078 in the Economic Development Category which included an amount of $541,531 allocated to the District 2 Reserve account. Parks Department has identified improvements required in Legion and Douglas Parks that they have been unable to perform due to lack of funding. The Administration recommends the transfer of CDBG funds, in the total amount of $400,000 from the City of Miami ("City") Department of Community Development District 2 Economic Development Reserve account; allocating said funds to the City's Department of Parks and Recreation specifically in the amount of $250,000 to Legion Park and $150,000 to Douglas Park, as specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated.
