A RESOLUTION THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT AND SALE OF BLOCK 45, 152 N.W. 8TH STREET, MIAMI, FL
(FOLIO NO. 01-0104-050-1010).
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
a community redevelopment agency created pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its Redevelopment
Area in accordance with the 2009 Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Section 163.380(3)(a), Florida Statutes, requires that [p]rior to disposition of any
real property or interest therein in a community redevelopment area, ... a community redevelopment
agency shall give public notice of such disposition, ... at least 30 days prior to the execution of any
contract to sell, lease, or otherwise transfer real property...."; and
WHEREAS, the CRA currently owns Block 45, 152 N.W. 8th Street, Miami, FL (Folio No.
01-0104-050-1010) and wishes to issue a Request for Proposals for the development and sale of said
property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The issuance of a Request for Proposals for the development and sale of Block
45, 152 N.W. 8th Street, Miami, FL (Folio No. 01-0104-050-1010) is hereby authorized.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
