A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
AUTHORIZING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS AT
THE THREE (3) PUBLIC PARKING LOTS OWNED BY THE CRA AT THE
FOLLOWING ADDRESSES: 262 NW 10th STREET, 250 NW 10th STREET, AND
345 NW 10th STREET; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO
COLLABORATE WITH MIAMI PARKING AUTHORITY TO FORMULATE A
PROPOSED PROJECT PLAN AND PRESENT THE PROPOSED PROJECT PLAN
AND COST TO THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR CONSIDERATION.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is a community redevelopment agency created pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with the 2009 Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment
Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Page 37-38 of the Plan discusses the CRA's parking objectives and the
importance of on and off-street parking areas to the implementation of the Plan;
WHEREAS, CRA currently owns the parking lots located at the following addresses: 262 NW
10th Street, 250 NW 10th Street, and 345 NW 10th Street ("Parking Lots"); and
WHEREAS, this Resolution seeks to implement various upgrades and improvements to the
Parking Lots such as milling and resurfacing asphalt, signage and pavement markings, landscaping,
upgrading lighting, and installation of gate arms at the entrance and exit of each lot; and
WHEREAS, the CRA seeks to collaborate with Miami Parking Authority to obtain a project plan
to upgrade the Parking Lots and will present the proposed project plan and cost to the Board of
Commissioners for consideration at a later date; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the implementation of
improvements to the Parking Lots and further authorizes the Executive Director to collaborate with
Miami Parking Authority to obtain a project plan to upgrade the Parking Lots and present the
proposed project plan and cost to the Board of Commissioners for consideration;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2. The Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes the implementation of parking
lot improvements to the following public parking lots owned by the CRA: 262 NW 10th Street, 250
NW 10th Street, and 345 NW 10th Street ("Parking Lots").
Section 3. The Board of Commissioners further authorizes the Executive Director to
collaborate with Miami Parking Authority to obtain a project plan to upgrade the Parking Lots and
present the proposed project plan and cost to the Board of Commissioners for consideration.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
