On January 22' 2010. the Miami -Dade County, the City nfMiami, and the {}RAonhared into on Amendment to the 1083|nhednna|Cooperation Agreement ("Amendment"). Aspart ofthe Amendment, the parties agreed that certain listed projects shall be "partially funded by the SE[>PVV CRA when the County and the City have determined that each [of the] respective SEOPVV CFA Developments are ready to proceed". Among the listed projects is World Literacy Crusade of Florida, |nc.'s^K4omo Hattie's House". The development concept for "Mama Hattio'o House" consists ofafive (5) stony mixed use development with administrative space on the ground floor and residence for at -risk girls and young women. The administrative space would be utilized by "Mama Hattie'm House" to provide programs that promotes positive behnvior, enhances social okiUa, and improves academic performance for the at -risk girls and young women living in the residences. JUSTIFICATION: Section 2,Goal 0,atpage 11'ofthe Southeast Ovarbown/ParkWest Community Redevelopment Agency Plan ("Plan") lists "improving quality of life for residents" as a stated redevelopment goal.
