A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA"),
APPROVING A SALARY INCREASE FOR CLARENCE E. WOODS, III, THE
CURRENT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE CRA.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is a community redevelopment agency created pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with the 2009 Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment
Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Section 163.356(3)(c), Florida Statutes provides that "[a]n agency may employ an
executive director ... as it requires, and determine their qualifications, duties, and compensation"; and
WHEREAS, Clarence E. Woods, III ("Mr. Woods"), the current Executive Director of the CRA, has
performed his duties as Executive Director in an exemplary and professional manner for the last 2.5
years; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to approve a salary increase for Mr. Woods
to $135,000; and
WHEREAS, all other executive benefits received by Mr. Woods will remain the same; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Board of Commissioners hereby approves a salary increase for Clarence
E. Woods, III ("Mr. Woods"), the current Executive Director of the CRA to $135,000 and all other
executive benefits received by Mr. Woods will remain the same.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
