professional company, consultant teams and or an individual contractor to aide in the overall marketing
and promotion of the Redevelopment Area. This scope of services will include custom website redesign
and development, video productions and a 3-D video conceptualization, all with the goal and intent of:
addressing the CRA's goals and objectives and showcasing current and future development,
programming and initiatives.
These services , combined with the CRA's existing branding initiatives and public relations efforts will
create a new platform to increase the CRA's visibility , promote its neighborhoods, attract new
businesses, encourage growth in existing businesses and transform the way people think about the area.
A description of each service we are seeking to procure is outlined below:
WEBSITE REDESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT
The CRA seeks to obtain a complete overhaul of its existing website at www.miamicra.com/seopwcra to
increase awareness of the Redevelopment Area and promote engagement and email signup growth
amongst its citizens and visitors. The CRA also wants to present itself as an entity that is keeping up with
the changing technological standards in the industry. The primary objective is to create a stand-alone,
flexible, appealing and informative website that is easy to maintain. The website will provide CRA staff
with the capability to deliver constantly changing information to key audiences in a timely and efficient
manner.
Visitors will be able to easily navigate and obtain general information about the organization, including
scheduled meetings & agendas, event calendars, available opportunities, redevelopment projects,
programs, incentives, staff and general contact information. The website will also be built utilizing the
latest web technologies and design trends; including mobile -optimization of all pages to ensure an
effective experience for visitors on small screen devices. The website will also integrate the use of video
and social media profile join buttons for Facebook and Twitter.The CRA website is currently managed by
the City of Miami Information Technology Department .Upon completion of the development of the
new website; CRA staff will assume full responsibility for web site content maintenance and
administration.
VIDEO PRODUCTION
The CRA seeks to procure the production of digital video services to keep the public aware of the
organization's mission and latest developments. The implementation of this service will cater to the
increasing tech savvy individuals that consume content via their smartphones, tablets and laptops. The
primary objective is to:
(1) Create a high -end promotional (recap) of CRA event videos that are used to increase awareness and
promote involvement of CRA programs and events.
(2) Provide a steady stream of informative custom (capsules) content for the CRA website.
(3) Produce a "Business Development" promo for existing and future business owners.
(4) Produce a Community Promo Capsule.
(5) Produce a CRA Electronic Press Kit (EPK).
(1)Recap Event Videos and Custom Content
Ground breaking ceremonies, community initiatives, outreach and festivals show
progress and also cultivate a shared sense of pride while also building civic character.
Annual activities and special events such as the Overtown Arts and Music Festival, Folk
Life Fridays, Lyric Live, Overtown Music Project and more, bring the community
together for a time of entertainment. These events unite Overtown's
emerging diverse population consisting of all social, economic and ethnic backgrounds
while celebrating Overtown's vibrant culture. The event recap videos will maintain ongoing
communication with the public and keep them fully updated with the CRA's goals, plans and activities.
(2)Custom Content and Capsules
To ensure that the CRA's culture and mission is at the forefront, it's essential to create a conduit for
productivity and engagement. The goal is to motivate and inspire the community through custom video
content. The CRA website should feature powerful, carefully curated informative and motivational
content from the business community, educators, athletes and entertainers who are also stakeholders
in the district. The capsules will engage the viewers by showcasing progress and case studies of effective
projects that are changing the lives of those who live, work or play in its neighborhoods.
(3) Business Development Promo
Small business is the lifeblood of the U.S. economy and the greatest source of jobs in the community.
The CRA continues to generate successful redevelopment projects through the private and public sector
with one main goal —to eliminate slum and blight. Its funding efforts have resulted in a multitude of
capstones ranging from affordable housing, economic development and capital improvement projects.
The Business Development Promo will get up close and personal with the various partners who have
invested in the community. These officials will provide viewers with an insight on their passion for the
district and the reason behind their particular involvement. The overall goal of this promo is to
put a face to the various individuals who are intimately connected to the community.
(4) Community Development Promo
Improving the quality of life for existing residents is one of the leading tenets of the CRA. Whethe
investing in the renovation/rehabilitation of housing in the Redevelopment Area, upgrading and
improvement of parks, historic preservation of iconic landmarks or implementing the variety of job
training programs to attract business and promote job creation, enhancing the living standards for the
local inhabitants is the absolute objective for the organization. The Community Development promo will
focus on the efficacy of these initiatives by capturing testimonials from those who have benefited from
these programs.
(5) The CRA EPK
What is a CRA? How can this organization assist me? These are just some of the frequently asked
questions pertaining to the CRA. The best way to disseminate viable information to those who wish to
be informed is through a digital platform. The CRA EPK will be a digital video version of the Investing in
Overtown CRA booklet. This informative roadmap will be an in-depth insight into the inner workings of
the CRA.
3-D VIDEO CONCEPTUALIZATION
A substantial amount of redevelopment projects and new housing developments are currently
underway or scheduled to take place in the Redevelopment Area. In an effort to provide a
comprehensive overview of the CRA's efforts to integrate new development with existing development,
the CRA seeks to procure the production of a 3d virtual video.
The 3-d virtual video will encompass a "pedestrian scale" walkthrough of existing, proposed and future
projects. The production of this video will balance realism (the existing built environment) with current
and future projects where viewers can see the transition from existing to future phases seamlessly. The
3-d video will become a legacy for the CRA to utilize extensively over the coming years as a principal
marketing tool to increase the CRA's visibility and reposition the area as a desirable location to live,
work and play.
