Preparing youth for summer employment is more than what it seems —a way for teens to earn extra money. Rather, it is an integral part of the process for youth to be exposed to potential educational and career paths. Together, we can break the barriers for low-income youth to enter the workforce, connect with career mentors and work towards a future that includes successful participation in the global economy. FAST FACTS Overtown unemployment between ages 26-29 Overtown unemployment ages 20-24 FACE FORWARD MOVING YOUTH FORWORD USING Film, Arts & Culture, Coding & Entrepreneurship FACE provides 7-weeks of hands-on real world training for youth between the ages of 16-24. The program affords interns the opportunity to advance their skills in one of four industry areas including: i) Film & Video Production, 2) Arts & Culture, 3) Coding or 4) Entrepreneurship. The implementation model of FACE is based on project - based learning led by industry professionals with assistance from college -level interns. The culmination of learning will be presented at the FACE Conference & Industry Expos.
