A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE
SALE OF THE GRAND PROMENADE (FOLIO NOS. 01-0101-070-1011 AND
01-0101-090-1030).
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its Redevelopment
Area in accordance with the 2009 Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Section 163.380(3)(a), Florida Statutes, requires that prior to disposition of any
real property or interest therein in a community redevelopment area, ... a community redevelopment
agency shall give public notice of such disposition, ... at least 30 days prior to the execution of any
contract to sell, lease, or otherwise transfer real property...;"
WHEREAS, the CRA currently owns the Grand Promenade (Folio No. 01-0101-070-1011 and
01-0101-090-1030); and wishes to issue a Request for Proposals for the sale of said property;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The issuance of a Request for Proposals for the sale of the Grand Promenade
(Folio Nos. 01-0101-070-1011 and 01-0101-090-1030) is hereby authorized.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
