A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR TO EXERCISE THE CRA'S OPTION
TO RENEW ITS SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH HOWARD & HOWARD
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT, INC. FOR LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION
MAINTENANCE SERVICES, FORA PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR, COMMENCING
JUNE 1, 2013, AT THE ANNUAL RATE OF $42,000; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE
EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR SAID PURPOSE; FUNDS
TO BE ALLOCATED FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "OTHER
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES," ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10050.920101.534000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with the 2009 Southeast Overtown/Park West Redevelopment
Plan ("Plan"); and
WHEREAS, Section 2, Principle 10, at page 16, of the Plan provides for provides for the
streets and buildings to be attractive; and
WHEREAS, the CRA owns certain properties and seeks to ensure the proper maintenance of
rights -of -way throughout the Redevelopment Area by providing regular landscaping and irrigation
maintenance; and
WHEREAS, on March 15, 2012, the CRA issued a Request for Service No. 12-03 for
landscaping and irrigation services, and Howard & Howard Property Management, Inc. ("Howard &
Howard") was deemed to be lowest responsive bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-12-0036, passed and
adopted on March 29, 2012, authorized the execution of a Services Agreement with Howard & Howard
for one (1) year with two (2) one-year renewal options;
WHERAS, the initial term of the Services Agreement between the CRA and Howard & Howard
is set to expire; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the Executive Director to exercise the
CRA's option to renew said Services Agreement with Howard & Howard for landscaping and irrigation
maintenance services, for a period of one (1) year, commencing June 1, 2013, at the annual rate of
$42,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Executive Director is authorized to exercise the Southeast Overtown/Park
West Community Redevelopment Agency's option to renew its Services Agreement with Howard &
Howard Property Management, Inc. for landscaping and irrigation maintenance services, for a period
of one (1) year, commencing June 1, 2013, at the annual rate of $42,000.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for
said purpose.
Section 4. Funds are to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Other Contractual
Services," Account Code No. 10050.920101.534000.0000.00000.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
