A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
AUTHORIZING THE EXERCISE OF THE FIRST ONE-YEAR RENEWAL OPTION
UNDER THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CRA AND
HORSEPOWER ELECTRIC, INC. TO PROVIDE STREETLIGHT MAINTENANCE
SERVICES ON CRA MAINTAINED STREETLIGHTS, AT A TOTAL COST NOT TO
EXCEED $15,000 PER; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT
FUND, "OTHER CONTRACTUAL SERVICES," ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10030.920501.534000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 4.4, D., at page 42, of the 2009 Omni Redevelopment Plan, lists the
"[enhancement of] the area's visual attractiveness to businesses and residents," as a stated
redevelopment objective; and
WHEREAS, the CRA maintains certain properties which require regular maintenance,
including streetlights; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners authorized the execution of the professional
services agreement between the CRA and Horsepower Electric, Inc. to provide streetlight
maintenance services on CRA maintained streetlights for a one (1) year period with the option to
extend for four (4) additional one (1) year periods, at a total cost not to exceed $15,000 per year; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners desires to authorize the Executive Director to
exercise the first one-year renewal option, at a total cost not to exceed $15,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The Executive Director is authorized to exercise the first one-year renewal option of
the professional services agreement between the CRA and Horsepower Electric, Inc. to provide
streetlight maintenance services on CRA maintained streetlights for a one (1) year period, at a total
cost not to exceed $15,000.
Section 3. Funds to be allocated from Omni Tax Increment Fund, "Other Contractual

Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
