HomeMy WebLinkAboutCRA-R-13-0007 Backup-1-28-2013Miami Film Life Center Film Life Inc., Scope of Work 1. Film Life, Inc. ("Consultant") shall utilize its extensive professional relationships and resource networks developed over sixteen (16) years as well as Consultant's marketing venue, that is the internationally renowned American Black Film Festival, to assist the CRA in its redevelopment goal of fostering a film industry incubator and resource center, Miami Film Life Center ("Center"),that will serve to promote film industry investment and career opportunities benefitting the residents and business stakeholders of the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Area. 2. Consultant shall facilitate the recruitment, hiring and training of prospective employees of the Miami Film Life Center ("Center") 3. Consultant shall develop a list of film industry related resource documents and databases to be made available at the Center. 4. Consultant shall develop an educational program curriculum to be offered through the Center providing training and networking opportunities for Center members. Consultants shall encourage its affiliated partners, such as HBO,NBC Universal, CNN, Nickelodeon, Writers Guild, SAGIndie, etc., to work with the Center to make materials and resources available to Center members. 5. Consultant shall assist in identifying film related opportunities for members. 6. Consultant shall develop and assist in implementing a membership drive marketing plan to establish a membership database at the Center. 7. Consultant shall provide professional guidance to those registered members of the Center interested in film distribution marketing and contract negotiations. 8. Consultant shall plan, coordinate and implement up to three film screening networking events during the Project Term, which may be subject to the receipt of sponsorship funds to underwrite associated film screening production costs. 9. Consultant shall plan, coordinate, and implement a minimum•of three master class workshops during the Project Term. Master Class workshops shall be taught by reputable industry professionals with significant experience in the subject matter class. 10. Subject to the availability of additional funds for direct costs, Consultant shall assist the CRA and its business development marketing partners, (i.e., Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), Downtown Development Authority, Omni Community Redevelopment Agency, etc.) in promoting the Center and Miami film opportunities at reputable national industry related events and through Consultant's affiliated network of industry professionals. 11. Consultant shall work with Miami's local film offices (City of Miami Film Office, Miami -Dade County Film Office) to attract independent film production entities to the City of Miami to participate in the CRA's Film Training Institute providing on-the-job training opportunities on active production sets. Consultant shall further intervene in the negotiations and closing of CRA Film Training Institute related agreements and to serve as a resource to the CRA.
