BACKGROUND:
It is recommended that the Board of Commissioners of the Omni Redevelopment District Community
Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") approve and adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the sponsorship of a
table at the annual Camillus House Hope for All Gala. Every year Camillus House host a Benefits Gala, with all
proceeds going towards the Homeless Programs and homeless people it serves in the Community. The Omni
CRA has always had a great relationship with Camillus House, working together in how we can best curtail the
homeless problems that occur within the Omni CRA, thus making the Omni CRA a safer, cleaner, and more
attractive place for people to invest, live and play.
JUSTIFICATION:
The Omni CRA Redevelopment Plan states as a goal on; Page 94, Section 5.5. To improve the physical and
social environment of the Omni District as a means of making the area more attractive to outside investment
and competitive residential expansion, and improve the quality of life of existing residents.

$10,000 for the sponsorship of a table at the Camillus House Hope for All Gala. Operational budget line item

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING THE SPONSORSHIP OF A TABLE AT THE CAMILLUS HOUSE
HOPE FOR ALL BENEFIT GALA, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $10,000;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
FOR SAID PURPOSE, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO GENERAL COUNSEL;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM OMNI TAX INCREMENT FUND,
"ADVERTISING/MARKETING," ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10030.920101.548100.000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 5.5 at page 94, of the 2009 Omni Redevelopment Plan, lists "improving
the physical and social environment of the OMNI District as a means of making the area more
attractive to outside investment and competitive residential expansion, and improve[ing] the quality of
life of existing residents" as a stated redevelopment objective; and
WHEREAS, every year Camillus House host the Hope for All Benefit Gala, with all proceeds
going towards the Homeless Programs and people it serves in the CRA community. The CRA has
always had a great relationship with Camillus House, working together to curtail the homeless
problems that occur within the CRA, thus making the CRA a safer, cleaner, and more attractive place
for people to invest, live and play; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the sponsorship of a table at the
Camillus House Hope for All Benefit Gala, in an amount not to exceed $10,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The sponsorship of a table at the Camillus House Hope for All Benefit Gala, in an
amount not to exceed $10,000, is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for said
purpose, in a form acceptable to General Counsel.

Section 4. Funds to be allocated from Omni Tax increment Fund, "Advertising/Marketing,"
