A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK
WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AUTHORIZING THE RENEWAL OF THE CRA'S
COMMERCIAL GENERAL LIABILITY, PROPERTY, AND WORKERS' COMPENSATION INSURANCE
COVERAGE, FOR AN ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIOD, THROUGH BROWN & BROWN OF
FLORIDA, INC/PUBLIC RISK INSURANCE AGENCY, IN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $31,605;
ALLOCATING FUNDING FROM SEOPW ADMINISTRATIVE BUDGET, ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10050.920101.545000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, to ensure uninterrupted coverage, the SEOPW CRA will be required to renew its
commercial general liability, property, and workers' compensation insurance, for an additional
one-year period, through City of Miami's insurance broker, Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc./Public Risk
Insurance Agency, effective October 1, 2012, at an annual cost not to exceed $31,605.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Funds to be allocated from SEOPW Administrative Budget, Account Code No.
10050.920101.545000.0000.00000.
Section 3. The issuance of funds in the amount of $31,605, to the City of Miami's insurance
broker, Brown & Brown of Florida, Inc./Public Risk Insurance Agency, for the renewal of the
commercial general liability, property, and workers' compensation insurance, for an additional
one-year period.
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
