Bockweg Executive Director Date: April 20, 2012 File: 12-00190 Subject: Resolution de -allocating unused funds and allocating same to Museum Park References: Enclosures: Legislation BACKGROUND: It is recommended that the Board of Commissioners of the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") approve and adopt the attached Resolution de -allocating $5,000,000 as outlined in Attachment "A", and hereby allocating said funds to Museum Park Project # CIP B-30538. JUSTIFICATION: A Resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners authorizing funding immediately encumbers the entire amount authorized. A subsequent resolution is required to de -allocate those funds, and hereby allocating said funds for the construction of Museum Park Project # CIP B-30538. The Interlocal Agreement Between the City of Miami, Miami -Dade County, Southeast Overtown/Park West CRA and Omni CRA to Provide Funding for Major Projects for the Benefit of All Parties, date December 31, 2007, requires the Omni CRA to identify funding sources and reallocate the use of existing revenues for the construction of Museum Park; and This Resolution carries out these objectives.
