A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY ("CRA")
AUTHORIZING THE INCREASE TO THE CONTRACT COMPENSATION AMOUNT
BY $7,800 FOR THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CRA AND SFM SERVICES, INC. ("SFM") TO PROVIDE LANDSCAPE
MAINTENANCE SERVICES ON CRA PROPERTIES FORA ONE (1) YEAR
PERIOD, INCREASING THE TOTAL COST NOT TO EXCEED $42,864;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "OTHER
CONTRACTUAL SERVICES," ACCOUNT CODE NO.
10050.920101.534000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 2, Goal 6/Principle 10, at pages 11 and 16, of the 2009 Southeast
Overtown/Park West Redevelopment Plan, lists "[i]mproving the quality of life for residents," and the
"[m]aintenance of public streets and spaces ... in a consistent manner ...," as stated redevelopment
goals; and
WHEREAS, the CRA maintains certain properties which require regular maintenance, including
landscaping and the clearing of trash and debris; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-10-0005, passed and
adopted on February 11, 2010, authorized the execution of a professional services agreement with
SFM, the lowest responsive bidder to Request for Service No. 09-01; and
WHEREAS, the CRA would like to add three (3) additional vacant Tots located at 901/915 NW
3rd Avenue and 916 NW 2nd Court to the contract for maintenance services that were previously
being occupied and maintained through the grant agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the increase to the contract
compensation amount by $7,800 for the professional services agreement between the CRA and SFM
to provide landscape maintenance services on CRA properties for a one (1) year period, increasing the
total cost by $7,800.00, not to exceed a total $42,864;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2. The increase to the contract compensation amount by $7,800 for the
professional services agreement between the CRA and SFM to provide landscape maintenance
services on CRA properties for a one (1) year period, increasing the total cost by $7,800.00, not to
exceed a total $42,864, is authorized.
Section 3. Funds to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Other Contractual
Services," Account Code No. 10050.920101.534000.0000.00000.
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
