Subject: Grant to City of Miami for Improvements to
the Baywalk at Museum Park

BACKGROUND:
It is recommended that the Board of Commissioners of the Omni Redevelopment District Community
Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") approve and adopt the attached Resolution authorizing the issuance of a grant,
in amount not to exceed $1,143,000, to the City of Miami to aid in its matching funds obligation under the Florida
Inland Navigation District ("FIND") grant for improvements to the Baywalk at Museum Park.
The CRA and the City plan to improve the Baywalk at Museum Park by extending the walkway, and installing
lighting, benches, trash receptors and decorative pavers. The total project cost is estimated at $2,286,000. The
City will obtain a matching grant from the Florida Inland Navigation District.
JUSTIFICATION:
Section 5, at page 54, of the 2009 Omni Redevelopment Plan, lists the Museum Park project as a high priority,
and states that the CRA's support of the project shall include construction.
This Resolution carries out this objective.
