Subject: Additional Funding for the Purchase and
Installation of Rubber Surfacing at Margaret
Pace Park.

BACKGROUND:
It is recommended that the Board of Commissioners of the Omni Redevelopment District Community
Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") approve and adopt the attached Resolution authorizing additional funding, in
an amount not to exceed $16,000, for a total amount not to exceed $66,000, to the City of Miami, for the
purchase and installation of rubber surfacing at Margaret Pace Park.
The Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-10-0030, passed and adopted on April 26, 2010,
authorized the issuance of a grant, in an amount not to exceed $50,000, to the City of Miami for the purchase
and installation of outdoor exercise equipment at Margaret Pace Park, located at 1775 N. Bayshore Drive,
Miami, Florida.
The City now requests additional funding the offset the costs associated with the necessary installation of rubber
surfacing at the site of the exercise equipment.
JUSTIFICATION:
Section 4.4., D., at page 42, of the 2009 Omni Redevelopment Plan, lists "[ijmprovements to the public realm,"
and the "enhance[ment of] the area's visual attractiveness to businesses and residents" as stated
redevelopment objectives.
This resolution carries out these objectives.
FUNDING: $16,000 from Omni Tax Increment Fund, "Other Grants and Aids," Account Code No.
10040.920101.883000.0000.00000.
