A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES, IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $15,000,
FOR APPRAISALS OF PROPERTIES WITHIN THE REDEVELOPMENT AREA;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY
FOR SAID PURPOSE, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO GENERAL COUNSEL;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES," ACCOUNT CODE NO. 10050.920101.531000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA")
is responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, Section 2, Goal 2, at page 11, of the 2009 Southeast Overtown/Park West
Redevelopment Plan, lists "[e]xpanding the tax bases through the use of Smart Growth planning
principles," as a stated redevelopment goal; and
WHEREAS, several properties exist within the Redevelopment Area that may be suitable in
furthering the CRA's redevelopment efforts, which include: public improvements; parks, plazas and
green spaces; assisting with transportation systems; and parking facilities; and
WHEREAS, property appraisals are a necessary component of the CRA's redevelopment
efforts; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the expenditure of funds, in an
amount not to exceed $15,000, to be used for the appraisals of properties within the Redevelopment
Area to further the CRA's redevelopment efforts;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Expenditures, in a total amount not to exceed $15,000, for appraisals of properties
within the Redevelopment Area, is authorized.
Section 3. The Executive Director is authorized to execute all documents necessary for said
purpose, in a form acceptable to General Counsel.
Section 4. Funds to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Professional Services,"

Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
