A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE SOUTHEAST
OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
RATIFYING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$12,540.03, FOR THE PAYMENT OF 2010 AD VALOREM TAXES ON THE
PROPERTY AT 1201 N.W. 3RDAVENUE, MIAMI, FLORIDA; ALLOCATING FUNDS
FROM SEOPW TAX INCREMENT FUND, "OTHER CURRENT CHARGES,"
ACCOUNT CODE NO. 10050.920101.549000.0000.00000.
WHEREAS, the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its Redevelopment
Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the CRA purchased the property at 1201 N.W. 3rd Avenue, Miami, Florida, for
redevelopment purposes; and
WHEREAS, the property now contains two commercial tenants, from whom the CRA receives
approximately $24,000 annually in rent; and
WHEREAS, the property's current use is a taxable use, and the CRA must pay property taxes
to maintain clear title; and
WHEREAS, the early payment of ad valorem taxes, no later than November 30, 2010, will
allow the CRA to take advantage of available discounts; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to authorize the expenditure of funds, in an
amount not to exceed $12,540.03, for the payment of 2010 ad valorem taxes on the property at 1201
N.W. 3rd Avenue, Miami, Florida;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
SOUTHEAST OVERTOWN/PARK WEST COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $12,540.03, for the payment
of 2010 ad valorem taxes on the property at 1201 Northwest Third Avenue, Miami, Florida, is ratified.
Section 3. Funds to be allocated from SEOPW Tax Increment Fund, "Other Current Charges,"
Account Code No. 10050.920101.549000.0000.00000.
Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
