BACKGROUND:
The attached omnibus Resolution amends CRA-R-07-0056, CRA-R-08-0049, and CRA-R-08-0065, to de -
allocate funds in excess of actual project costs.
The Board of Commissioners authorized funding for several projects within the Omni Redevelopment Area,
more specifically: (1) roadway improvements along North Bayshore Drive (CRA-R-07-0056); (2) the design and
installation of upgrades to water and sewer facilities (CRA-R-08-0049); and (3) the design and re -construction of
Old Fire Station No. 2 (CRA-R-08-0065).
These projects were planned and managed by the City of Miami's Capital Improvements Program, whose plans
and estimates caused for additional funds to be allocated in excess of actual project costs. This resolution de -
allocates those excess funds.
This item was deferred from the September 20, 2010 meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the
Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency.
JUSTIFICATION:
A resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners authorizing funding immediately encumbers the entire
amount authorized. A subsequent resolution is required to de -allocate and return excess funds to the CRA's
unrestricted fund balance.
