A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE OMNI
REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. CRA-R-08-0049 TO REDUCE THE TOTAL FUNDS
AUTHORIZED FROM $6.5 MILLION TO $5 MILLION; AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. CRA-R-08-0065 TO REDUCE THE TOTAL FUNDS AUTHORIZED FROM $4
MILLION TO $3.5 MILLION; AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. CRA-R-07-0056 TO
REDUCE THE TOTAL FUNDS AUTHORIZED FROM $5 MILLION TO $4 MILLION.
WHEREAS, the Omni Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency ("CRA") is
responsible for carrying out community redevelopment activities and projects within its
Redevelopment Area in accordance with its approved Redevelopment Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-08-0049, passed and
adopted on September 3, 2008, authorized the expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed
$6.5 million, for the design and installation of upgrades to water and sewer facilities in the Omni
redevelopment area; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-08-0065, passed and
adopted on November 24, 2008, authorized the expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $4
million, for the design and re -construction of Old Fire Station No. 2; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners, by Resolution No. CRA-R-07-0056, passed and
adopted on December 12, 2007, authorized the expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $5
million, for roadway improvements along North Bayshore Drive; and
WHEREAS, these projects planned and managed by the City of Miami's Capital
Improvements Program caused for additional funds to be allocated in excess of actual project costs;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners wishes to amend Resolution Nos. CRA-R-08-0049,
CRA-R-08-0065, and CRA-R-07-0056 to de -allocate funds in excess of actual project costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE
OMNI REDEVELOPMENT DISTRICT COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Section 3 of Resolution No. CRA-R-08-0049 is hereby amended as follows:{1}
Section 3. The expenditure of funds, in an amount not to exceed $6,500,000

$5,000,000, with project vendors selected by the City of Miami for the design and
installation of upgrades to the water and sewer facilities in the Omni Redevelopment
Area ("Project") is authorized.
Section 3. Section 2 of Resolution No. CRA-R-08-0065 is hereby amended as follows:{1}
Section 2. The expenditure of additional funds, in an amount not to exceed
$3,200,000 $2,700,000, for a total amount not to exceed $4,000,000 $3,500,000, for
the design and re -construction of Old Fire Station No. 2, at 1401 North Miami Avenue,
Miami, Florida and the adjacent parcel at 1441 North Miami Avenue, Miami, Florida, is
authorized.
Section 4. Section 2 of Resolution No. CRA-R-07-0056 is hereby amended as follows:{1}
Section 2. The contribution of funds, in an amount not to exceed $5,000,000
$4,000,000, to the City of Miami for capital improvement project B-50658, consisting of
improvement along North Bayshore Drive from N.E. 17th Terrance to N.E. 19th Street
and N.E. 18th Street from N.E. 4th Avenue to North Bayshore Drive, with all work to be
performed through the City's Department of Capital Improvements and Transportation,
is authorized.
Section 5. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
